Twin teens arrested in Paducah after allegedly selling drugs to undercover officer

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

Two 18-year-old twins from McCracken County were arrested Friday after they allegedly sold drugs to an undercover officer across the street from a Paducah high school.

Sgt. Anthony Copeland said a concerned citizen contacted police about Jared Turner, 18, of Paducah, selling marijuana and pills to students at Paducah Tilghman High School.

An undercover officer made arrangements Friday via text message - while Turner was in school - to buy drugs from him.

Turner’s brother, Jared, 18, then contacted the officer and offered to sell him marijuana.

Immediately after school, the boys arrived in separate vehicles to meet the officer in the parking lot of a business across Jackson Street from the school.

Jared Turner sold the officer a Xanax pill and drove away.

His vehicle was stopped a short distance away and he was arrested.

Officers found four Lortab pills in his possession.

When Jared Turner left, his brother, Blake, sold the detective about 1½ grams of marijuana.

He was arrested immediately.

Jared faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and third-degree possession of a controlled substance

Blake faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

Both teenagers were booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.
