2 car crash involving children slows traffic at McCracken County intersection

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A woman and child are injured after a crash Friday morning in McCracken County, Kentucky.

At 7:10 a.m. emergency crews responded to the intersection of North Friendship Road and Maryland Street for a vehicle collision with injuries.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, 17-year-old William Kitchen of Paducah was driving a Honda Civic west on Maryland Street crossing North Friendship Road when his car collided with a Nissan Rogue driven by 33-year-old Elizabeth Ray of Paducah.

Ray and her 12-year-old passenger were transported to a local hospital for non-incapacitating injuries.

Kitchen and his two passengers, an 11-year-old and a 9-year-old were not injured.

The accident caused traffic to be restricted to one lane at the North Friendship and Maryland Street intersection for about 45 minutes.
