PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Paducah police want people to be aware of a telephone scam targeting area residents.
Recently, three people reported getting a call from a man with a Jamaican accent claiming to be with Publisher's Clearing House.
The man told individuals they needed to wire $10,000 right away to claim a ten million dollar prize.
Paducah police remind everyone to never send money to anyone requesting it over the phone unless you are absolutely sure who you're dealing with.
Also, do not provide any personal information, such as a Social Security number or banking information. If in doubt, hang up.
