City of Anna unveils new ladder truck

ANNA, IL (KFVS) -

The City of Anna and the Anna Fire Department showed off its new ladder truck during a press conference at 12:15 p.m., and a public open house at 6 p.m.  on January 12 at the Anna Fire Department. 

The city recently purchased a new 2015 Pierce Quint ladder truck and the $840,000 price was bought with a grant obtained through the Department of Homeland Security and City of Anna funds.

The city will retire its current ladder truck by donating it to the Rend Lake College Fire Service Academy and will be used throughout southern Illinois for training purposes.

The celebration started with a press conference followed by a tour of the new truck by Fire Department personnel.

The general public was then invited to an open house beginning at 6 p.m. Everyone had the opportunity to tour the Fire Department facilities.
