ILLINOIS (KFVS) - The National Weather Service in Paducah confirmed there was an EF1 tornado in Wayne and Edwards Counties in Illinois on December 23.
According to the preliminary NWS report, the tornado had a peak wind of 95 mph. It's path length was recorded as 5 miles, with a width of 100 yards.
The tornado started about 1.5 miles south, southeast of Golden Gate, Ill. and ended 3.5 miles west of Albion in Edwards County, Ill.
The NWS survey reported there were a few uprooted trees and several trees or tree branches that had snapped. It reported that one home and one barn had roof or shingle damage.
No injuries or deaths were reported.
