The Heartland will wake up to a cold and frosty morning with temperatures around the 20s. Despite the cold, you’ll need your sunglasses, as the morning opens up to a sunny day. First Alert: the weather team is tracking rain for Thursday.

Making Headlines:

Deadly crash: A woman was killed and a teen was injured when they hit a deer while driving along Highway 72 in Bollinger County on Monday evening. The highway patrol reports a deer went through the windshield of the car, hitting both of the women inside.

Traffic alert: The Chester Bridge over the Mississippi River is back open this morning after floodwaters closed the bridge for nearly a week.

The clean-up: Debris is what's left where floodwaters have receded, meaning roads like Hwy. 25 in Cape Girardeau County are still closed this morning. If you're cleaning up, the city of Cape Girardeau is offering places where you can drop off the debris.

Relocating: The St. Louis Rams is one of three teams in the race to relocate the NFL to Los Angeles. The Rams filled an application to move for the 2016 season. 

Embracing technology: Students in Cairo, Ill. are using iPads in the classroom as Emerson Elementary launches its "One to One" Apple grant. More iPads will be handed out at the Cairo Junior/senior high school this morning.
