GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Wingo Elementary School principal Scott Bradley smiles for the camera, along with the students in teacher Reba Wiggins’ kindergarten class.

“Mr Bradley is just so good with the kids," Wiggins said. "He came down to our classroom with his ticket for the Polar Express book, movie and hot cocoa, spent time with the kids and received his Christmas bell we gave him.”

Based on the Chris Van Allsburg book of the same name, the story is about a young boy who embarks on a magical adventure to the North Pole on the Polar Express train. During his adventure he learns about friendship, bravery, and the spirit of Christmas.

Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks provided voices of several characters for the animated film that has become popular with students in elementary schools across the country, since its release in 2004.

Hanks again teamed with director Robert Zemeckis, who directed him in "Forrest Gump" and "Cast Away."

Zemeckis also directed the "Back to the Future" trilogy.
