If you're celebrating a birthday today you're sharing it with a couple of women who have made it big in country music.

She was discovered by Willie Nelson and performed at Farm Aid in 1994. But her big break came two years later when she released her chart topping debut single "Strawberry Wine." Deana Carter is 50 today.

She was born and raised in Kentucky. Her hits include "Chains," "Blame It on Your Heart," "You Can Feel Bad" and many many more.
She's been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1998. Patty Loveless is 59 today.

He's the lead singer for the alternative rock group R.E.M. whose hits include "Losing my Religion," "Everybody Hurts" and "It's the End of the World as We Know It." Michael Stripe is 56 today.

He's an infielder for the Chicago Cubs who was named National League Rookie of the Year in 2015. Cardinal fans know him well. Kris Bryant is 24 today.

    The number of marijuana plants discovered by Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics in rural Jeff Davis continues to rise with the street value now topping $20 million.
