Paducah man arrested on drug trafficking charges

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department began conducting an investigation in mid-November that led to the arrest of a Kentucky man on drug trafficking charges.

Over the course of the investigation, detectives bought crystal methamphetamine from Charles Meeks, 40, of Paducah, at his home.

On Dec. 18, a McCracken County Grand Jury indicted Meeks for selling the methamphetamine.

He was arrested by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department on Dec. 23 at his home.

Meeks has previously been convicted of trafficking Methamphetamine, making this a trafficking in controlled substance (Meth) over two grams, 2nd offense.

Meeks has also previously been convicted of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance in the first 1st degree, trafficking marijuana, escape and resisting.

He was held in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
