Numerous drug arrests made in Paducah

The Paducah Police Department is reporting a number of recent drug arrests were made Tuesday, Dec. 22.

In response to many calls from a number of concerned community members, the Paducah Police Department’s Drug Unit launched an investigation about a month ago into illegal drug possession and sales in McCracken County.

Drug officers presented multiple cases to a McCracken County grand jury Friday, Dec. 18 and got indictments on 16 people. Early Tuesday, officers from the Support Services and Operations divisions met at the police department, then fanned out throughout the city to begin making arrests.

Jesse Logan, 30, of the 1700 block of Madison Street, has been arrested on charges of possession of a stolen handgun and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Zachary Bonn, 23, of the 1400 Block of Little Avenue, has been arrested on warrants charging him with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Felicia Griggs, 33, of the 5100 block of Hinkleville Road, has been arrested on warrants charging her with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and second-degree possession of a controlled substance.

Dujuan R. Edmonds, 22, of the 700 block of South 4th Street, has been arrested on warrants charging him with trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

James Willis Hartsfield, 73, of the 600 block of Broadway, has been arrested on a warrant charging him with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Ashley Cavitt, 25, of the 4500 block of Metropolis Lake Road, has been arrested at the Putnam County Jail in Indiana, where she currently is housed on warrants charging her with trafficking in synthetic marijuana, possession of synthetic marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.

Justin Goad, 26, of the 100 block of Louisiana Street,has been arrested on warrants charging him with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mackenzie Mask, 26, of Chicago, Illinois, has been arrested at the Massac County Jail in Illinois where she is being housed on warrants charging her with multiple counts of obtaining controlled substance by fraud.

LaDonna Ward, 47, of the 1200 block of Hovecamp Road, has been arrested on warrants charging her with multiple counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.

As of 4:30 p.m., 11 people had been arrested or charged and six others are still being sought.

Chamar Wood, 36, of the 400 block of South 9th Street, has been served a summons charging him with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of synthetic marijuana

Patricia Brown, 28, of the 300 block of Berger Road, has been served a summons charging her with possession of marijuana.

Marrio Webb, 28 of the 2900 block of Harrison Street, charged in a warrant with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine) and in a Probation and Parole warrant with absconding parole

Phil Tucker, 28, of the 1300 block of South 8th Street, has been charged in a warrant with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Joseph T. Henderson, 33, of the 900 block of North 26th Street, charged in a warrant with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine).

Melanie Haynes, 34, of the 800 block of Joe Bryan Drive, charged in a warrant with being a drug court absconder. 

Haywood Jones Jr., 26, of the 600 block of College Avenue, charged in a warrant with trafficking in a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school. He also is wanted on charges of robbery and burglary, and has a history of several robberies.

Tijavion D. Beasley, 22, of the 1900 block of South 25th Street, charged in a warrant with trafficking in a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school

Information leading to an arrest or indictment could result in a reward of up to $1,000.
