(KFVS) -

Let's take a stroll down our music memory lane.

This morning we travel back to 1979.

The year's top movies were Kramer vs Kramer and Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

The top TV shows: Three's Company, MASH and Dallas.

And these were the songs being played on the radio this week 36 years ago.

Billboard Magazine's Hot 100 had Stevie Wonder at number five with Send One Your Love.

At number four was Rupert Holmes with Escape (The Pina Colada Song) . The original lyrics to that song were "If you like Humphrey Bogart", but Holmes changed it to the exotic drink right before going into the studio to record the hit.

At number three was KC and the Sunshine Band with a departure from their disco sound. The ballad Please Don't Go would later become the group's 5th and final number 1.

In the number two spot was another ballad, Still, by the Commodores.

And in the top spot was a band out of Chicago. Babe was the first and only number one hit for Styx. It was written by keyboardist and vocalist Dennis DeYoung as a birthday present for his wife Suzanne.
