PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

Two inmates who escaped from the correctional facility in Paducah Wednesday morning have been captured.

Kentucky State Police troopers found the men traveling on Interstate 69 in Caldwell County.

Troopers conducted a felony traffic stop on the vehicle and took Everett E. Tabor, 33, of Marion, Ky. and Chancelor A. Britt, 21, of Byrdstown, Tenn. into custody at 12:28 p.m. Wednesday. They were inmates at Keaton Correctional Institution in Paducah.

Tabor was charged with escape 2nd degree.

Britt was charged with a parole violation.

Randi N. Essawi, 30, of Princeton was in the vehicle and charged with facilitation of escape 2nd degree.

The three were taken to the McCracken County Jail.

According to Kentucky State Police, correctional officers did a head count just after 4 a.m. on Dec. 16, and discovered Tabor was missing.

Tabor, 33, is described as a white male with short brown hair and brown eyes. He is about 6 feet 1 inch tall.

Tabor is serving time for trafficking methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He left the Kentucky State Penitentiary in Eddyville four days ago and was spending the rest of his sentence in Paducah at the Keaton Correctional Institution.

According to police, Tabor was considered armed and dangerous because of his past.

Britt also went missing on Dec. 16.

Britt was a parolee staying at the Keaton Correctional Institution for a wanton endangerment conviction.

Police say he was not considered armed and dangerous.
