First Alert Weather Outlook:

You might need a light jacket and an umbrella when you head out the door this morning. There's a chance for scattered showers until mid-morning, otherwise it will be cooler than it was over the weekend. And watch out for the wind. Making Headlines:

Precautionary measure: Administrators canceled class on Monday in the Carlisle County School District after many students and some staff became ill with a virus. Several schedule changes are being implemented because of the closure.

Under investigation: A masked man yelled support for ISIS as he stabbed a French kindergarten teacher in the throat Monday, authorities said. The teacher suffered non-life-threatening injuries but the attacker got away.

Inspection under way: An inspector was called out after a barge scraped a portion of the US 68 Lake Barkley Bridge at Canton in Trigg County on Sunday. According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, a vessel scraped the left descending pier on the bridge causing a dent in the port lead barge.

Behind bars: A person is in custody after a disturbance at a home in Murphysboro led to the battery of a police officer. A 23-year-old was arrested and charged for the incident.
