Redhawks basketball team still seeking first win

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

New Southeast Missouri State University basketball coach Rick Ray is still looking for his first win as the Redhawks head coach.

Next up for SEMO is a home date with SEC opponent Mississippi on Saturday.

The Redhawks haven't had much success against the SEC over the years, SEMO is 1-21 lifetime against the conference.

It's been 22 years since a Southeastern Conference school has played on an Ohio Valley Conference campus.

Ole Miss enters Saturday's game on a three-game winning streak and owns a 6-2 overall record this season.

The Redhawks have four non-conference game remaining before the Ohio Valley Conference season begins.
