Carbondale police asking for public's help in finding theft suspect

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

Carbondale police are asking the public for help in identifying a man suspected of stealing from a retail store.

The City of Carbondale Police Department began an investigation into a retail theft complaint that occurred at a business in the 1400 block of East Main Street on November 30 at 7:57 p.m. 

During the course of the investigation, officers learned that a suspect entered the business and took property without paying.

The suspect is described as a black male, with a short afro hairstyle, and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants.

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspects are encouraged to contact the Carbondale Police Department at 618-457-3200 extension 405. 

The investigation into this incident is continuing.
