Carbondale police searching for two women suspected of stealing

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

The Carbondale Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying two women suspected of stealing from a retail store.

The City of Carbondale Police Department began an investigation into a retail theft complaint that occurred at a business in the 1200 block of East Main Street on Wednesday at 9:31 a.m. 

Officers learned that two suspects entered the business and took property without paying.  

The first suspect is described as black female wearing a black and white plaid hooded jacket, and black pants.  

The second suspect is described as a black female with a ponytail, wearing a red hooded shirt, a royal blue zip-up jacket, and dark pants. 

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspects are encouraged to contact the Carbondale Police Department at 618-457-3200 extension 405. 

The investigation into this incident is continuing.
