First Alert fog warning, causing Scott Co. school delay

It is Friday, Dec. 11, 2015.

First Alert Weather Outlook:

A murky morning starts off your Friday, with clouds, fog and drizzle. Brian’s First Alert Forecast shows not much actual rain, but the Heartland will remain damp for most of the day. We could see record highs on Saturday, and heavy rain on Sunday.

School Delay: Scott County R-4, Kelly Schools, are on a one hour delay because of fog.

Making Headlines:

In court: The suspected gunman on the campus of of Arkansas State University will appear before a judge today. The court appearance comes after police say Kenneth Bartelt of Jonesboro, Ark. drove into the center of campus with a shotgun on Thursday.

Fatal mining accident: The preliminary autopsy results show that 20-year-old Tyler Rath of Marion, Ill. died due to blunt trauma to the head, neck, trunk and extremities. Rath was involved in a mining accident in the M-Class Mine in Macedonia, Ill. 

Helicopter crashFour people are dead after a helicopter crash between Fresno and Bakersfield, CA, according to a Fresno County official. The accident happened as the medical helicopter was transporting a patient in critical condition.

Under investigation: An Arkansas sheriff's office  has beefed up patrols around one man’s home after he received a threatening phone call from someone claiming to be associated with the terrorist group ISIS. The man told investigators the caller told him he wanted a million dollars.
