Basketball game features Carterville Ladybugs, CHOICES program students

MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS) -

Two basketball teams took to the court for a game on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 10 in Murphysboro, Illinois.

Students in the CHOICES Program took on the Carterville Ladybugs.

Other Murphysboro students got a chance to cheer on their classmates, whose energy is contagious.

It was clear everyone on the court had a great attitude and gave it their best.

It was a real victory for both teams and fans.

The CHOICES Program serves students ages 5-21 with moderate cognitive disabilities. It emphasizes the development of life skills, social skills, leisure skills, domestic skills, work skills, training and includes community-based instruction.
