This week in country music: 2008

(KFVS) -

Let's drop some quarters in our jukebox of memories.

This morning we check out the country scene from seven years ago.

These were the songs playing on country radio this week in 2008.

Billboard Magazine had Rascal Flatts at number five with "Here."

At number four was "Roll with Me" by Montgomery Gentry.

Taylor Swift was in the number three spot with "Love Story" which would become Swift's best selling single to date. It's also the best selling download by a female country music artist.

At number two was Tim McGraw with "Let It Go."

And in the top spot was the Zac Brown Band with their very first hit single. "Chicken Fried" was actually written by front man Zac Brown back in 2003.

It was released as a single but failed to become a hit. The band re-recorded it and gave it another chance five years later and they're glad that they did.

That's a look at country music from early December, 2008.
