Crittenden County Middle and High School was put on lockdown Wednesday after a threatening note was found on a school bathroom wall.
After a high school student found the threat, the Crittenden Co. High and Middle School were put on lockdown.
The lockdown lasted from about 10:30 a.m. to 12:40 p.m.
Every locker was searched and each student was wanded, according to a statement posted on the school's website.
Students were allowed to report to lunch after it was determined that the campus was safe.
The school's lockdown procedures include not allowing students to be checked in or out in order maintain maximum security.
Even though the incident was isolated to the high school, the middle was also put on lockdown as a precaution since the building is attached to the high school, according to the school.
Local law enforcement agencies assisted, including the Kentucky State Police, and remained on campus for the day.
