Randolph Co. deputies arrest 3 on theft, drug charges

RANDOLPH COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

Randolph County Sheriff Shannon L. Wolff reports the arrests of Anthony J. Hagene, 29 of Steeleville, Bethany N. Moore, 25 of Steeleville and Christopher B. Liter, 23 of Steeleville, for a residential burglary on Monday, Dec. 7.

The arrest was made as the result of a combined effort by the Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff’s Office K-9 Dano, Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigator, Steeleville Police Department, Percy Police Department, Union Pacific Railroad Police and the State’s Attorney’s Office.

Hagene, Liter and Moore all allegedly burglarized home on Streamline Road in Percy, Illinois on Sunday, Dec. 6, and reportedly stole firearms, jewelry, cash and other items.

Sheriff Wolff said the items stolen during the burglary as well as drugs were recovered during the investigation.

Sheriff Wolff said Randolph County K9 Dano was used to do an article search on railroad property near the crime scene and located two firearms and other stolen items.

All three suspects have been incarcerated pending a bond hearing being.
