WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

Williamson County Sheriff Bennie Vick would like to alert residences to another phone scam operating in the area.

When people answer these calls, the caller says he is a “Joseph Morrison with the Private Service Division of CSPO.”

"Morrison" says he has official documents to deliver to you, and that he will only attempt to deliver the documents twice.

The caller implies that these documents involve a lawsuit over an unpaid debt and tries to get you to call him back at 321-319-3483.

Vick warns that the call is a scam that attempts to intimidate people into paying a fee to avoid an imaginary lawsuit.

Sheriff Vick wants residents to remember to never give personal or banking information to someone who has called you.
