First Alert: Fog and frost to make way for nice winter day

There’s a fog advisory in effect for much of the Heartland, so be on the lookout for dense fog on your way to work. Once the fog burns off, we’re looking at a nice day with temps around 50. Making Headlines:

Under investigation: The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating after a Caruthersville man was hit by a car in Pemiscot County. The highway patrol reports 29-year-old Dustin Godair was walking in the southbound lane of Highway K when he was hit by a southbound car.

Looking for answers: The Jackson County Sheriff's Department is searching for a 15-year-old runaway who is danger without her medication. Investigators say Taylor Greenrod could be headed to Paducah, Ky.

New changes:  Kentucky residents are waking up to a new governor. Matt Bevin was sworn in as the state's 62nd governor just after midnight. The private ceremony took place in the capitol's rotunda.

Precautionary measure: An Air France flight from San Francisco to Paris was diverted to Montreal after an unspecified anonymous threat. After passengers got off the plane safely, authorities declared the threat a false alarm.
