PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

A traffic stop on Interstate 24 resulted in drug charges being filed against a Tennessee man on Saturday, Dec. 5 in Paducah, Kentucky.

K9 Officer Nathan Antonites and his partner stopped a vehicle travelling on Interstate 24 late Saturday afternoon.

During the traffic stop, Antonites' partner founds drugs in the vehicle near where the passenger was sitting.

A search of the vehicle revealed that about seven grams of methamphetamine, along with digital scales, syringes and other items in a backpack owned by Jamie A. Marshall, 43, of Tennessee.

Marshall was arrested and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.

He has been charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
