McCracken Co. deputies respond to two car collision

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

The McCracken County Sheriff's department responded to an injury collision on US45  on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 2:03 p.m.

Deputies said the collision occurred at the intersection of the turn around and US45 N when a vehicle attempted to cross northbound lanes to turn into Lone Oak United Methodist Church.

Ardeth Sneddon, 87,of Paducah, Kentucky, was traveling southbound when she attempted to make a left turn through the turn lane crossing the northbound lanes.

Justin Williams, 23, of Paducah, Kentucky was traveling southbound on US45 when Sneddon crossed into his lane of travel. Williams attempted to change lanes to avoid the collision.

Sneddon attempted to cross lanes and struck Williams. As a result of the collision, Williams crossed through the median, onto southbound lanes and then traveled back into the median to come to rest.

Kevin Kilby, 22, was a passenger in the vehicle with Williams at the time of the collision.

The Lone Oak Fire Department and Mercy EMS transported Williams and Kilby to an area hospital for non-incapacitating injuries.

Sneddon refused treatment after speaking with Mercy EMS on scene.
