KENNETT, MO (KFVS) -

Officials in Kennett say a man arrested for making threats by phone in late 2015 has pleaded guilty and is sentenced to two years of probation.

In December of 2015, officers went to a local McDonald’s restaurant in reference to a threatening phone call.

Officers located and arrested Roy Tunis, 34, of Rector, Arkansas in connection to the call.

He was ultimately charged with disturbing the peace on December 2, 2015.

The Kennett Police Department Criminal Investigations Division was already investigating reports that Tunis had possibly made threats of violence to the Kennett Social Security Office.

On April 27, 2016, Tunis pleaded guilty to one count of disturbing the peace. He was sentenced to two years of supervised probation, which was suspended in favor of two years unsupervised probation.
