It will start to feel a little more like December this morning. You’ll likely need your ice-scraper as you head out, and a scarf. Laura Wibbenmeyer’s First Alert Forecast calls for a frosty morning, and a colder day overall with clouds to the north and clear skies in the southern parts of the Heartland.

Making Headlines:

Search continues: Mayfield police are looking for a young man who escaped custody by jumping out of a window at the Graves County Courthouse. As of early this morning, the juvenile was still on the loose.

Under investigation: A man is in police custody awaiting formal charges this morning after a shooting in Steele, Mo. Police say the victim was shot in the hand while he was sitting inside of his vehicle.

Peak in sales: A new report shows the FBI processed a record number of firearms background checks on Black Friday. The record was set the same day three people were killed and nine others wounded in an attack at a Planned Parenthood office in Colorado.

Recall Alert: Harbor Freight is recalling 1.7 million cordless drills due to fire and burn hazards. Users have reported being burned by the drill on their hands and fingers.
