CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

A man was arrested after police in Cape Girardeau, Missouri tried to pull him over and he allegedly kept driving.

According to police, they got the report at around 1:39 p.m. that a person had tried to pass a counterfeit bill at Walmart. Employees at Walmart got a vehicle description, a Chevy Trailblazer, and called police.

Police say they found the Trailblazer, tried to pull it over, but the driver kept going.

According to police, the pursuit ended at William and Broadview. They say the man tried to turn on Broadview, lost control and ended up in the grass.

The man allegedly wasn't cooperating and wouldn't get out of the vehicle, so police say they broke out the driver and passenger side windows to get him out.

He was then arrested.
