Suspect identified, facing charges in connection to Steele, MO shooting

STEELE, MO (KFVS) -

A man accused of shooting another person near the City Hall in Steele, Missouri has been identified and is facing charges in connection to that crime.

Officials say Dominique Pulliam, 23, of Steele, faces charges of assault - serious physical injury, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of weapon.

Chief of Police Billy Joe Stanfield reports that Pulliam shot the 31-year-old male victim in the hand while he was sitting in his vehicle on Bates Street. After the shooting, the victim drove himself to the Steele Police Department.

The victim was transported by ambulance to the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital where he received medical treatment.

Stanfield said that through the initial investigation, Pulliam was interviewed and identified.

He was subsequently arrested and taken to the Pemiscot County Jail on charges of first degree assault and armed criminal action.

Bond for Pulliam was set at $200,000.
