Paducah woman behind bars after assaulting son, mother


A Paducah woman is in custody after allegedly assaulting her young son and her mother.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, deputies were dispatched to a home on Husbands Road on Nov. 25 at around 5:30 p.m. in response to a domestic disturbance.

After an investigation, deputies determined 31-year-old Nicole Dobbs assaulted her son and mother. Both victims suffered visible injuries from the assault.

Deputies arrested Dobbs for domestic assault and an unrelated bench warrant.

The sheriff's department also reports deputies found several firearms in plain sight at the home.

Further investigation showed Dobbs was a convicted felon.

After serving a warrant to search the home, deputies seized a total of six long guns and one handgun.

Dobbs is behind bars at the McCracken County Regional Jail. She is facing the following charges:

  • Two counts of assault in the 4th degree
  • Six counts of possession of firearm by a convicted felon 
  • Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
  • Bench warrant for probation violation
