Perryville police arrest man in connection with theft investigation

PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) -

On Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 7:26 p.m. the Perryville Police Department was notified of a person being taken against their will by use of a gun.

The victim was eventually let go after being hit with the firearm.

The victim told police the suspect was demanding money. He also said he knew the suspect.

At around 11:37 p.m., police received another call in which the caller described a similar incidence.

The victim told the police that the suspect entered his home with a gun demanding money. A struggle occurred and the victim was injured.

When police arrived, the suspect dropped the gun and left in a vehicle. The vehicle was the same one described in the earlier crime.

The subject was eventually found by police and taken into custody.

Charges are still pending.
