Get personalized response to your child's letter to Santa

The Postal Service is offering a personalized response from Santa to your child's letter.

You can can prove that there really is a Santa Claus when he replies to your child's letter, complete with a postmark from the North Pole.

Here are the steps to take to ensure your child receives a letter from Santa:

  • Have your child write a letter to Santa and put it in an envelope and address it to: Santa Claus, North Pole.
  • Later, when you're alone, open the envelope and write a personalized response to your child.
  • Place the response letter into an envelope addressed to the child.
  • Add the return address on the envelope: Santa, North Pole.
  • Make sure the envelope has a First-Class Mail stamp on it, such as the Charlie Brown Christmas stamp that was recently issued.
  • Place the entire envelope into a larger one, a Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope is preferred, with the proper postage, and address it to:

North Pole Postmark
300 West Pershing Road, Suit 251
Kansas City, MO 64108-9998

The "Letters from Santa" should be received by the Kansas City, Mo. postmaster by Dec. 15.

When you're writing the response make it as personal as possible.

Highlight the accomplishments of your child like receiving good grades or helping out around the house.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale products and services and postage to fund its operations.
