Malden police: 1 arrested in connection with locker room thefts at football game

MALDEN, MO (KFVS) -

One person has been arrested in connection with a theft investigation in Malden, Missouri.

According to Malden Police Chief Jarrett Bullock, a suspect entered the Palmyra football team's dressing room through an unlocked door during the game on Saturday and took several items.

Chief Bullock said the items included cash, cell phones and other electronic devices totaling around $2,300.

He said a school resource officer reported the theft to Malden police.

A suspect is in custody, as of Monday, and is facing charges of burglary and felony stealing.
