2 Carbondale women arrested after meth found during traffic stop

ENERGY, IL (KFVS) -

Two women from Carbondale, Ill. face drug charges after police found suspected methamphetamine during a traffic stop in Energy, Ill.

Kiristien Joyner, 26, and Leeanna Treece, 24, both of Carbondale face charges of possession of meth and possession of hypodermic syringes.

The two were stopped by Energy police officers on Sunday, Nov. 22 around 6:45 a.m.

Members of the Energy Police Department's Drug Interdiction and K9 Teams found suspected meth and hypodermic syringes associated with meth use in the 1995 Oldsmobile.

Joyner and Treece were taken to the Williamson County Jail.
