Jackson County Health Department to remain open

JACKSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

The Jackson County Health Department has announced it will remain open five days a week.

This is a reversal of an earlier decision to reduce days of service, which was to take effect December 1.

While the Department still doesn't have state funding, it has received support from the Jackson County Board.

Some changes are coming to the hours clinical services are offered.

All immunizations are available Monday through Friday on a walk-in basis from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

In addition, the late clinic has been moved from Thursday to Tuesday, which will allow immunizations to be offered until 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
