2 arrested after armed robbery in Perryville

PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) -

Two people were arrested after an armed robbery at a gas station in Perryville Wednesday night.

Cpl. Jeri Cain with the Perryville Police Department says a man entered the rear of the St. Joe General Store at 1230 West St. Joseph Street through an unlocked door around 11:30 p.m.

The man had a gun and demanded money.

Police say he got away with some money and a wallet and left in a waiting vehicle.

Perryville officers made at traffic stop within one minute of being dispatched and arrested Mikeem Raytez Daniel, 25, of Haywood City, Mo., and Darion L. Gipson, 21, of Haywood City, Mo.

The money was recovered. No one was injured.

Both men were charged with robbery, armed criminal action, felonious restraint, unlawful use of weapon - exhibiting, theft/stealing of any credit card, unlawful possession of a firearm, and theft/stealing less than $500.

Bond for both men was set at $100,000 cash only.
