The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a two vehicle injury collision at the intersection of US45 and Lebanon Church Road on Wednesday, Nov.18, at about 12:37 PM.

Ronald Devillez, 50 of Paducah, was driving west bound on Lebanon Church Road approaching the intersection of US45. According to a witness, Devillez failed to stop at the stop sign and continued across US45, striking a south bound vehicle in the driver’s side.

Rita Bright, 54, of Mayfield, was operating the south bound vehicle.

The impact drove both vehicles off the west side of the road and down an embankment.

The Lone Oak Fire Department responded and had to rescue Bright from her vehicle by mechanical means.

Both Bright and Devillez were transported by Mercy Regional EMS to Lourdes Hospital for non-incapacitating injuries.

Upon his release from the hospital, deputies booked Devillez into the McCracken Regional Jail on charges of DUI first offence with aggravating circumstances and first-degree assault.
