First Alert: No need for an umbrella today, be sure to grab a jacket

First Alert Weather Outlook:

Put away the umbrella. The rain is on its way out, meaning the Heartland will start to dry out today. Make sure to grab the jacket before you walk out the door this morning. You can expect it to be breezy and cooler today, with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s.

Making Headlines:

Terror raid: A police operation in a French suburb overnight targeted the presumed mastermind of last week's attacks in Paris. At least two people were killed during the siege and seven people were arrested. We will have a live report from Paris at 6 a.m.

Heartland storms: The rain is moving out of the Heartland, but strong winds overnight knocked down trees and power lines in some areas. Power was still out at some homes in Randolph County, Ill. on Wednesday morning.

Under investigation: A homicide investigation is underway after police say the body of a man was found in the Mississippi River on Tuesday and a woman is still missing. According to the Miner Police Chief, a man is in custody after an arrest in Carter County.

Deadly fire: Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a fire in Calloway County to ignite. The coroner reports at least one person was killed.
