MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Two McCracken County residents have been charged in connection with a drug investigation that began more than a month ago.

Det. Sgt. Anthony Copeland said investigators with the Paducah Police Department’s Drug and Vice Enforcement Unit arrested Dustin Baldwin, 22, on Oct. 13 on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and fleeing and evading police.

Copeland said Baldwin was a passenger driven by Jamie Perry, 35, and was selling methamphetamine out of the car.

Investigators didn’t have sufficient evidence that day to charge Perry, but continued their investigation and proved she was complicit in Baldwin’s sale of drugs.

The case was presented to a McCracken County grand jury, which returned an indictment charging Perry with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Perry was arrested last week and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
