ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A bald eagle found injured in Saint Francois County more than a month ago has made a full recovery and was set free Friday.

The eagle was able to fly away after it spent the last six weeks recovering from a broken wing.

The Watkins Wildlife Rehab took care of the injured bird.

Owners there say this was one of the most spirited eagles they've ever treated.

A Missouri Department of Conversation agent was on hand as well as Missouri State Representative Linda Black who originally found the eagle on her Saint Francois County farm in September.
