MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

McCracken County deputies arrested two men following a complaint of a reckless driver on a church parking lot.

It happened Wednesday when a caller said someone was driving around in the Southland Baptist Church parking lot.

Before the call, authorities had witnessed a blue Chevy truck on Temple Drive going toward the church.

They saw it cut through a flooded ditch, throwing mud onto one of their vehicles.

Authorities say they also saw the truck continue doing "donuts" in the adjacent parking lot to the church.

Deputies found the vehicle had expired registration and the driver, Joseph McClelland, 19, had a suspended driver's license.

After further investigation, deputies got consent to search the vehicle.

Inside deputies found a glass smoking pipe with residue and tested it.

Deputies arrested McClelland on several charges including reckless driving and possession of a controlled substance.

The passenger in the car, Austin Gipson, 18, was taken into custody for an unrelated warrant.
