GIBSON COUNTY, TN (KFVS) -

Deputies are searching for two inmates that escaped from the Gibson County Correctional Complex.

According to the Gibson County Sheriff's Office, Jason Clapper and Joseph Isbell escaped during recreation time on Wednesday.

The sheriff's office reports the two men were outside in the recreational yard. In between checks by the guards on duty, the two men allegedly scaled the chain link fence topped with barbed wire and escaped.

According to dispatch for the sheriff's office, the men are considered to be dangerous.

The inmates were last seen wearing their orange jumpsuits.

"Unfortunately, when some people are incarcerated and facing jail time they get creative and desperate in their actions to escape," the sheriff's office posted on its Facebook page.

The correctional complex houses nearly 300 inmates daily and have roughly 40 correctional officers. The sheriff's office reports inmates are monitored regularly, but incidents like these do happen.

The sheriff's office asks you to call dispatch with any information about the location of these inmates. Dispatch can be reached at (731) 692-3714.
