Cape Girardeau Boy Scouts raise flags for Veterans Day

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Cape Girardeau Boy Scouts did their part to honor our veterans on Veterans Day.

Boy Scout Troop 4 got up early on Wednesday to put the flags out just before 6:30 a.m.

The flags are placed all around the First Presbyterian Church at the corner of Lorimier and Broadway.

One of the scouts said it's important to recognize the sacrifices veterans made.

"It means to me that I can show respect to those that I cannot meet," Trenton Warren said. "It means to the community that we care about what they've done for us."
