Lance Lynn to miss the 2016 season due to surgery

ST. LOUIS, MO (KFVS) -

St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Lance Lynn underwent "Tommy John" surgery on Tuesday and it will cause the 28-year old  to miss the 2016 season.

Lynn has a career record of 61-39 with a 3.37 earned run average for the Cardinals.

Lynn has been with St. Louis since 2011.
