MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Boaz, Kentucky woman had to be removed from her vehicle after a crash on Tuesday morning, November 10.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, at around 7:10 a.m., officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Old Mayfield Road and Krebs Station Road.

Officers say Thomas Thompson, 86, of Paducah was going westbound on Krebs Station Road at the intersection of Old Mayfield Road; and 43-year-old Catina Powell, of Boaz, was going southbound on Old Mayfield Road.

According to officers, Thompson pulled into the path of Powell and hit the side of her vehicle. They say the impact caused Powell to run off the right side of the road and overturn, coming to rest upright.

Officers say the Hendron Fire Department was on scene and had to mechanically remove Powell from her vehicle.

Powell was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
