Williamson Co. firing range open to deer hunters

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

Williamson County Sheriff Bennie Vick announced that the sheriff's office firing range will be open for individuals wanting to sight in their guns for the upcoming firearm deer season.

On Saturday November 14, the range will be open rain or shine from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to the public. 

Hunters can bring shotguns, muzzleloaders and pistols to the range. If hunters wish to bring to their own targets they can, however the sheriff's office will provide targets. 

The range is equipped with a pavilion shelter, shooting benches and sand bags. A moving target system will also be available. Marked distances range from 25 yards to 200 yards.

The range is located at 18567 Philadelphia Road Marion, Ill.
