NEW MADRID COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

One person is dead after a rollover crash on Highway 60 near Morehouse on Tuesday morning, Nov. 10.

One eastbound lane of Hwy. 60 was closed while emergency crews responded to the scene.

It happened just over the Stoddard County line near Morehouse near a gravel road.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 22-year-old Trent M. McMillan, of Sikeston, was driving a 2007 Ford F-150 southbound on U.S. 60 and failed to yield to a 2008 Chrysler Aspen driven eastbound by 73-year-old Carol A. Quoos, of Dexter.

Troopers say the truck hit the van, causing it to run off of the side of the road and overturned. Both vehicles ended up in a field.

According to troopers, a passenger in the van, 73-year-old David N. Quoos, of Dexter, was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.

McMillan and Carol Quoos were seriously injured.

Quoos was airlifted to a Cape Girardeau hospital and McMillan was taken by ambulance to a Cape Girardeau hospital.
