First Alert Forecast shows Heartland Football Friday likely cool and dry

It is Friday, Nov. 6, 2015

First Alert Weather Outlook:

Good news: the rain is moving out of the Heartland. Thankfully, the storms caused no serious damage except some downed tree branches. When you leave for work or school this morning, you might want a light jacket, but you can leave the umbrella at home. For Heartland Football Friday, you expect a cool but dry evening.

Making Headlines:

Fatal crash: The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating after a deadly crash involving a pedestrian in Delta on Thursday night. The highway patrol reports a man was walking along Highway N when he was hit by a truck.

Under investigation: A Kentucky police officer shot in the line duty died early Friday morning. Officer Daniel Ellis suffered injuries from a gunshot wound while he was investigating an armed robbery on Wednesday morning.

Bus accident: Arkansas State Police say as many as six people were killed in an early morning charter bus crash along Interstate 40 in North Little Rock. Apparently, the bus collided with an overpass abutment.

Mandatory requirement: A change in policy means Missouri House members and staff will be required to undergo annual sexual-harassment training. This follows allegations that a former lawmaker sexually harassed interns and another exchanged sexual texts with one.
