MSHP: Pedestrian dead after being hit by car in Delta

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating after a deadly crash involving a pedestrian in Delta on Thursday night, Nov. 5.

According to the highway patrol, the incident happened on N Highway at around 8:30 p.m.

The highway patrol reports a pedestrian was walking along the road when they were hit by a truck driven by 29-year-old Dustin Campbell, of Chaffee, Mo.

The pedestrian was identified as 45-year-old William Arnold, of Advance, Mo.

According to coroner John Clifton, Arnold died at the scene of the crash.

Campbell did not suffer any injuries during the accident.

The highway patrol reports this is the 52nd fatal crash for the southeast Missouri region in 2015.
