JACKSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Police in Murphysboro recovered a stolen trailer and utility terrain vehicle.
According to Murphysboro police, on Wednesday, Nov. 4, officers received a report that a trailer containing a Utility Terrain Vehicle had been stolen from within the City Limits of Murphysboro. That call came in just after 8 a.m.
At approximately 3:15 p.m., deputies with the Jackson County, Ill. Sheriff's Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle pulling a trailer containing a Utility Terrain Vehicle. Investigators learned that the trailer and UTV were the same vehicles stolen earlier from an address in Murphysboro.
Danny Odom, 35, of Murphysboro, Ill. was arrested and charged with two counts of automobile theft and two counts of Theft over $500.00. Odom is being held in the Jackson County Jail pending a court appearance.
Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, Union County Sheriff's Department, Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police, and officers from the Murphysboro Police Department took part in this investigation.
